五名美國業余摔跤選手艾歷克斯(Thora Birch 飾)、托德、克萊爾、威利、謝爾頓,在教練帶領下遠赴東歐參加摔跤比賽,雖然他們輸掉了比賽,但當晚仍興致勃勃參加了派對,以致耽誤了第二天開往敖德薩的火車,由于語言不通,他們一時買不到車票,一位說英語的金發女郎出現,帶領他們登上了車站內的一列紅色火車。 甫一上車,隊員們的護照便被形容猥瑣的男乘務員收去,這列經過改裝的列車上賭場、餐車、休息室一應俱全,隊員們很快遠離其他語言不通的乘客,躲在休息室玩起了真心話大冒險,然而在游戲進行的過程中,托德消失在列車尾部,其他隊員也一一失蹤,艾歷克斯很快發現,她要獨自面對車上的幾個活體器官摘除者……
快樂的暑假開始了,啟人(津村真琴 配音)為了掃墓來到了風光秀麗的沖繩,在海邊,他和阿海(佐伯鵬 配音)一起救下了一位名為美波(三石琴乃 配音)的少女,后者遭到了數碼獸的攻擊,這些數碼獸的目標,似乎是美波所攜帶的一臺筆記本電腦,在電腦里究竟隱藏了怎樣的秘密?讓啟人感到意外的是,美波的遇險催生了數碼寶貝石獅獸(津久井教生 配音)的誕生,它的使命為何? 啟人發現,在風靡全球的電子寵物V-Pet背后,隱藏著一個驚人的秘密,貪婪邪惡的曼法斯獸企圖通過虛擬的數碼獸摧毀人類世界,實現它建立數碼世界的野心。面對強大的對手,啟人和朋友們該何去何從?
大石剛介(三船敏郎 飾)升任關東同盟理事長,與中島組佐倉一誠(佐分利信 飾)勢均力敵,維持著表面的和平。但日本政界要員大山喜久夫(片岡千惠藏 飾)因癌癥病倒,幾乎再次點燃兩派戰火。大山幸得一宮恭夫(高橋悅史 飾)醫治死里逃生,因此號召幫派聯合,遭到兩派抵制。 此時塞班島開發項目成為抗爭的導火索。中島組干部川西(菅原文太 飾)為籌措資金,強令木村建設破產,并將木村之女獻給保守黨要員刈田(西村晃 飾)。另一方面,大石拉攏刈田的兒子春男入伙,作為特使赴塞班島向美國官員行賄。大山暗示佐倉除去大石,一場攪和了黑幫、政客、外國人的紛爭就此展開,而佐倉似乎也朝日本首領的目標又邁進了堅實的一步……
Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
