 沙漠里流傳著一句話:天出血,人死絕。故事發(fā)生在舊時(shí)代的西北,這樣一片沙漠地帶,它講述了一個(gè)愛(ài)情悲劇故事。年青的問(wèn)九因鄉(xiāng)鄰間缺水爭(zhēng)執(zhí)而出逃在外,待回來(lái)時(shí),曾與之心心相印的秀秀姑娘已被族叔迎娶,成了他的嬸嬸。水繼續(xù)威脅著人們的生存,問(wèn)九的族叔為富不仁,竟以空手能否從滾開(kāi)的油鍋里撈起銅錢(qián)來(lái)決定人們?cè)诰G洲的去留,他狠毒地騙問(wèn)九替他撈起銅錢(qián)卻又暗地加害問(wèn)九。問(wèn)九奮起抗?fàn)?,砍死了族叔,被官府捉捕。牢獄未能囚住問(wèn)九渴求自由的心。他一次次尋求機(jī)會(huì)越獄。數(shù)十年后,當(dāng)問(wèn)九逃出虎口,卻又被沙漠里的土匪抓住逼他帶路,對(duì)秀秀的愛(ài)情支撐著問(wèn)九最后的生命,他再次出逃,掙扎著爬回自己的故鄉(xiāng)。但黃沙已無(wú)情地吞噬了這里的一切,唯有刻著綠洲村的石柱還未被淹沒(méi)。問(wèn)九手撫石柱瞑目在這荒原上?;脑?,彩霞滿天。天出血,人死絕。

好像一切都很糟糕

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
