六十年代，南斯拉夫某區的領導決定用樂隊豐富年輕人的生活，與此同時，青年迪諾（Slavko暫無內容Stimac暫無內容飾）的一班同齡朋友們整日在陳舊的社區中游蕩，迪諾相信使用催眠術可以對共產主義事業起到促進作用，平日里勤加學習。因為迪諾掌握著家里鴿房的鑰匙，當地的年輕人頭頭將一位女孩暫無內容多莉貝塞給迪諾看顧，父親暗中發現了女孩，但并未聲張反而給迪諾更多的零用錢。父親因染病每況愈下，同迪諾在飯桌上談論偉大未來的時間越來越少。迪諾和多莉貝漸漸互相產生了好感，某天夜里事主突然到訪，帶領幾個青年在迪諾面前將多莉貝侮辱后帶走。父親入院后，迪諾的生活只剩下樂隊的排練，他穿戴整齊后再次找到多莉貝……
