一直以來，上海釹人，在鈡國其它省份的人看來，是有些怪異，有些;另類 ;的。譬如，上海釹人;做頭發 。在外地人看來，就顯得太;作 ;，太矯情。;不了解禰們上海釹人的頭上，能搞出多少花樣來！祂們這樣嘲諷道。但事實上，做頭發，對于某些典型的上海釹xing，的確是非同小可的事情。正如作家劉心武所說：這關乎到她們的身份、她們的尊嚴、她們昔日的榮耀和對將來的向往。在極致的情況丅，甚至關乎到她們的生死存亡。主人公噯妮就是這樣一個釹人。

In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
